Create your first workspace

1

Go to thinkex.app and create an account. You can sign up with email or use Google OAuth if it has been configured by your administrator.
2

Create a workspace

From your dashboard, click New workspace. Choose a template to get started:
TemplateDescription
BlankAn empty canvas. Start from scratch.
Getting startedA canvas pre-loaded with sample cards — a document, a quiz, and a flashcard deck — so you can explore the interface immediately.
If this is your first time using ThinkEx, choose Getting started. The sample cards let you explore the workspace without needing to add content first.
3

Add content

Add sources to your canvas by clicking Add card or dragging files directly onto the workspace. Supported card types include:
  • PDF — upload a PDF file; highlights and page navigation are built in
  • YouTube — paste a YouTube URL to embed the video with transcript-backed context
  • Document — write or paste notes in Markdown
  • Image — upload an image file
  • Audio — upload an audio file for transcription and analysis
  • Website — paste a URL to embed a web page
  • Flashcard deck — create a set of flashcards for study
  • Quiz — create a multiple-choice or true/false quiz
Arrange cards spatially on the canvas by dragging them to where they make sense relative to each other.
4

Start an AI chat

Click to select one or more cards on your canvas — the AI will reason only over what you select. Then open the chat panel and ask your question. You can switch AI models per conversation without changing any settings. Each chat session stays attached to your workspace, so context is never lost between sessions.
Select a specific paragraph in a PDF and a related note, then ask the AI to find the connection. Targeted selection produces much sharper answers than sending everything at once.
5

Save insights as cards

After a useful AI response, save it to your workspace as a persistent card — a document, a flashcard deck, or a quiz. Saved cards remain available in every future session, so your knowledge compounds over time.
